I've entered this into AdAge for the competition this year. The topic was to embrace female empowerment, and break beauty stereotypes. My idea was to portray the stigma of brown skin versus fair skin, and then go against it. I chose to use my home country India as the subject, because that stigma is prevalent there, and it hits close to home. I used the map of India as a background, and then shaped the images to outline and fill the map in. The image consists of showing off women from all over India with different skin tones, because no two women in India will have the same skin colour.
